Siropack Italia and Clearly Clean Product have finalized a strategic commercial agreement through the transfer of the RESPECT patent in the United States.

Respect is a technology developed entirely in Italy and patented by Siropack since 2019 in thirty countries around the world, including the USA since 2024.
Thanks to a special treatment applied to the edge, this technology has resulted in the world’s first tray with tamper-evident anti-counterfeiting features.
It also ensures perfect sealing on single-material r-PET trays at lower temperatures and in less time than PET/PE containers, with proven advantages in terms of food safety, improved productivity, sustainability, recyclability, circularity, no tray distortion, maintenance of product flatness and freshness, as well as the possibility of checking the correct sealing of the tray thanks to the presence of luminophores in the glue coated on the edge, which is also recyclable.

Clearly Clean secured the patent thanks to an investment of almost $ 6 million, including intellectual property and the supply of Siropack technology over the coming years.

The agreement was signed by Siropack owners Rocco De Lucia and Barbara Burioli with Clearly Clean co-founder Jeff Maguire and CEO Paul Huckins.

The company has overcome the meat and food industry's dependence on foam containers, as it holds the world's only patent for a 100% recyclable PET food tray with rounded edges: a significant technology in outer packaging because it does not tear the film and makes the tray three times stronger than foam.
Clearly Clean has been named the fastest-growing company in northeastern Pennsylvania for two consecutive years and has received the Ameristar Award and the DuPont Award for innovation in the packaging industry.
