US-based Citroniq has secured an outlet for half the production capacity of the plant it will build in Nebraska to produce biobased, carbon-negative polypropylene derived from ethanol, with start-up scheduled for 2029.

The buyer will be Premier Product Marketing, which has signed a 15-year binding offtake agreement for the supply of OrganiqPP resins.

Under the agreement, Premier Product Marketing will support the global marketing and distribution of OrganiqPP, leveraging its international network and expertise in petrochemical logistics and market development.

OrganiqPP, made from corn-based ethanol, is positioned as a direct drop-in replacement for conventional fossil-based polypropylene, enabling a significant reduction in carbon footprint without requiring changes to existing manufacturing processes.

Premier Product Marketing, part of Texas-based Vinmar Group, is active in the marketing and distribution of petrochemicals and plastics.
