CMG Granulators is strengthening its presence in India with the opening of a new subsidiary in Pune, aiming to tap demand in one of Asia’s most dynamic economies, where a well-established plastics processing industry is being joined by a developing recycling sector, also driven by increasingly stringent regulations.

“We look at India from a perspective that goes beyond the idea of expanding into a new market: we see it as one of the hubs where the future of advanced plastics recycling is taking shape,” explains Giorgio Santella, CEO of the Italian company (pictured). “Being present means actively contributing to this transformation, supporting customers with technology, expertise and a local organization capable of turning operational proximity into tangible value.”

The new facility will not be limited to commercial activities: equipment based on CMG’s original designs will also be manufactured there, while maintaining the same technological, quality and performance standards.

“Local production will enable us to ensure shorter delivery times, greater competitiveness and an even closer presence to meet market needs,” Santella adds. “In Pune, we aim to establish a competence hub dedicated to local design, systems engineering, technical support and business development.”
