RecyClass updates Protocols and Guidelines

The revision follows a new testing campaign evaluating the impact of packaging features on plastic recycling streams.

recyclass rigid packagingRecyClass, the certification scheme for recyclability and recycled plastic content, has updated its Recyclability Evaluation Protocols and Design for Recycling Guidelines.

The updates incorporate findings from 18 testing campaigns commissioned in 2024. These tests assessed the impact of various packaging features on recycling streams, with a focus on sorting processes for small-sized packaging, rigid rolling behavior, and decorations.
