Shell secures pyrolysis oil deal in Italy

Strategic agreement signed with RES Group for chemical recycling plant under construction in central Italy.

Antonio Lucio Valerio RES Niels Bouwhuis Shell ChemicalsThe Italian company RES has committed to supplying Shell Chemicals with the entire production capacity of its upcoming chemical recycling plant in Molise, central Italy, with deliveries set to begin in June 2026.

The long-term supply agreement, signed yesterday, covers the pyrolysis oil that will be produced at the waste plastic treatment and recovery facility currently under construction in Pettoranello del Molise, in the province of Isernia.
