EU Commission clears acquisition of Radici by Lone Star

Deal includes intermediates, polyamides, and engineering polymers; textile division remains with founding family.

radici group Gandino (BG)The European Commission has approved, under antitrust regulations, the acquisition of Italy-based Radici Partecipazioni—controlled by Radicifin—by Lone Star Fund XII.

The transaction, originally announced on February 24 (see article), involves the Bergamo-based group’s operations in the Specialty Chemicals and High Performance Polymers divisions, covering intermediates, polyamides, and engineering plastics.

Meanwhile, the Advanced Textile Solutions area—focused on synthetic fibers, yarns, and nonwovens—will remain under the control of Radici’s current shareholders, including members of the founder’s family.
