Recupero Etico Sostenibile (RES) has received approval from Invitalia to expand its integrated mechanical-chemical plastic waste recycling project already under development at the Pettoranello del Molise industrial site in central Italy.
The project, which foresees the construction of a second chemical recycling plant using pyrolysis technology, involves total investments of approximately €24.6 million and — thanks to the recently approved development contract — €18.1 million will be provided by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), of which €8.3 million as a non-repayable grant and €9.8 million as a concessional loan. Completion is expected by 31 August 2028.
