The list of ethylene producers turning to civil courts to claim damages from the four chemical companies — Clariant, Orbia, Celanese and Westlake — sanctioned five years ago by the European Commission is getting longer. The companies were found guilty of creating a cartel in the purchase of ethylene, aimed at securing lower prices from suppliers through the exchange of commercial information.
