The international news agency Reuters today published a report (read HERE) about a meeting scheduled by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) with several major national petrochemical groups regarding overcapacity in polyester used to produce bottles (PET) and textile fibers, as well as its precursor, purified terephthalic acid (PTA).
