MyReplast Industries, the NextChem (Maire Group) company that recycles industrial plastic scrap to produce compounds through an upcycling approach, today inaugurated a new office and Experience center at its Bedizzole site in northern Italy, where it has been operating since 2019.

The new facility houses offices, meeting rooms and a space designed to showcase to clients and visitors the end-to-end plastic upcycling process—from flakes to finished products—offering an immersive experience within the plant's entrance hall.

This investment is the culmination of a series of developments undertaken in recent years.
First came the consolidation of compounding operations in Bedizzole, previously carried out at a nearby but separate location. Then, three years ago, two new extrusion-compounding lines were installed—bringing the total number of lines to three, including the one transferred from Rezzato.

The plant produces tailor-made compounds and, more importantly, acts as the flagship demonstration facility for NX Replast, NextChem’s proprietary technology offered under turnkey licensing agreements.
This process has already been implemented outside Italy at the GCB Polymers facility in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It has also been selected for a new recycling center for rigid polyolefin packaging waste being developed in Modena by Aliplast (part of the Hera Group), with a capacity of up to 30,000 tonnes per year.

The Bedizzole upcycling plant can produce over 40,000 tonnes per year of recycled polymers, treating various types of plastic waste, including post-consumer and industrial scrap.

By combining precise polymer- and color-based waste selection, advanced treatment, quality control and compounding—using predictive algorithms to reduce the number of extrusion trials—MyReplast achieves a high-quality recycled pellet, with a recycling efficiency the company claims is around 95%.
