Distrupol extends Lucite deal to DACH region

The British distributor has been awarded distribution rights for the PMMA brands from Lucite International across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

distrupol PMMA lamp automotiveDistrupol, a distributor of thermoplastics and elastomers to the polymer processing industry, has secured rights to supply the Diakon, Elvakon, and Elvacite PMMA brands from Lucite International Alpha BV, part of Mitsubishi Chemical Group, across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).

Distrupol expanded into the DACH region in January 2024 with an initial portfolio of polyamides, acetal, polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, polycarbonate, additives, compounds, and masterbatches from key supply partners, including Celanese and Toray.
Acknowledging the demand for advanced acrylics in DACH, Distrupol is building on its strong partnership with Lucite International in the UK, Ireland, Nordics, and Benelux by securing PMMA distribution rights for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland—a major milestone for the company.

Lucite International, with more than 60 years of experience in the acrylics industry, produces standard and custom polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) in various variants and colors.  “Lucite has had a long, fruitful relationship with Distrupol for many years, and we are delighted to expand our cooperation to include the DACH region,” said David Smith, commercial director of PMMA polymers EMEA at Lucite International Alpha BV. “Germany is the largest market for PMMA in Europe, so we are confident that this agreement will deliver additional business to both parties.”
