Omya takes over Distrupol from GPD

As part of the acquisition, Omya has established a new business unit, Omya Performance Polymer Distribution.

disturbol logisticGPD Companies, a U.S.-based entity controlled by One Rock Capital Partners, has signed a definitive agreement to sell Distrupol, a UK-based distributor of plastics, elastomers, and polymer specialties, to Swiss group Omya, a global producer of essential minerals and a distributor of specialty materials.

In anticipation of Distrupol's integration, the Swiss company has launched a new business unit, Omya Performance Polymer Distribution, headquartered in Switzerland. The new business will be led by Carsten Harms, a recognized expert in polymer distribution with more than 30 years of industry experience.
