Major EPS merger in Europe

BEWI’s Raw division to merge with Unipol Holland, creating a new expanded polystyrene powerhouse under the control of The Rock Capital Group.

bewi epsSwedish company BEWI is set to merge its Raw division with Unipol Holland’s EPS operations, establishing a new European leader in expanded polystyrene (EPS) production. The newly formed entity will be 51% owned by The Rock Capital Group (TRCG), the international investment firm that controls Unipol Holland.

Upon completion of the transaction, BEWI will retain a 49% stake in the new company and receive €75 million, of which EUR 42.5 million is paid following closing and the remainder is subject to an earn-out agreement. The proceeds will be used to reduce debt.
