Husky expands portfolio with Multishot

Acquisition includes secondary injection unit and rotary platen technologies from MGS Healthcare Manufacturing.

March 18, 2025 16:07

hausky multishotHusky Technologies, an injection molding machine and mold manufacturer, is strengthening its position in medical molding by acquiring the Multishot co-injection units and rotary molds business from MGS Healthcare Manufacturing, a U.S.-based company and existing customer of the Canadian firm.

These operations will be integrated with Husky’s Altanium mold control systems to provide turnkey solutions for multi-material and multi-color injection molding applications, unlocking new growth opportunities in the packaging, medical, personal care, and home care markets.

“This acquisition reinforces our commitment to innovation and excellence,” said Robert Domodossola, president of Systems and Tooling, Husky. “By bringing these complementary technologies into our portfolio, we are enhancing our ability to serve customers with integrated, high-performance solutions that drive efficiency and growth.”

The new product line will be showcased at Husky’s booth during the Plastics Technology XPO, North America’s premier molding and mold-making event, taking place in Illinois from March 18-20, 2025.
