The Swiss group MAAG has appointed Michael Heitzinger (right in the photo) as manager of business development for its Recycling Systems division, which specializes in supplying components and equipment for plastics recycling.
Heitzinger is a well-known figure in the industry, with more than 25 years of leadership experience in mechanical and plant engineering. Most recently, he was in charge of OEM global support for plastics recycling at the Italian company Fimic, following a 12-year tenure at Erema, where he served as CTO and CSO.
“With Michael Heitzinger, we are gaining an internationally experienced manager who brings not only in-depth industry knowledge and technical know-how but also the personal qualities needed to further develop Recycling Systems,” says Uwe Kellner, vice president of sales EMEIA at MAAG (pictured left).
The MAAG Group provides integrated process systems for the chemical, petrochemical and polymer industries through its four divisions: Pump & Filtration Systems, Pelletizing & Pulverizing Systems, Recycling Systems and Measurement & Control Systems.
Its portfolio includes brands such as AMN, Automatik, Ettlinger, Gala, Maag, Reduction, Scheer, Sikora, Witte and Xantec.
The group employs more than 1,900 people across manufacturing sites in Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, the United States and China.
