A.P. Moller Holding's newly established company, Vioneo, is set to produce polyolefins from renewable feedstocks and energy sources at a new plant in Antwerp, Belgium.
This initiative involves an estimated investment of €1.5 billion, aimed at offering large-scale plastic products without using fossil-based raw materials.

Polypropylene and polyethylene production will utilize methanol derived from renewable sources in a fully segregated and traceable process chain certified by ISCC Plus, avoiding the mixing of non-certified and certified feedstocks. The end-products, manufactured at this 100% 'fossil-free' Antwerp plant, will be applicable across key sectors, including medical, food packaging, household goods, and automotive industries.
