Pär Tornemo Yaskawa EuropeYaskawa, the Japanese manufacturer of servo drives and industrial robots, which are also used in the plastics processing industry, has announced a management reshuffle at its European subsidiary, starting with the chief executive role.

Pär Tornemo (pictured) has been appointed to lead Yaskawa Europe, succeeding outgoing CEO Manfred Stern. Since joining the Japanese group in 2007, he has held various roles, including Managing Director of Yaskawa Nordic AB and, most recently, Senior Vice President of the European Robotics Division.

Pär Tornemo, Bobbie Linkenbach and Sibel Yanak now serve as managing directors of the European subsidiary.

Further organisational changes include the appointment of Sibel Yanak as chief financial officer (CFO) and Jörg Rommelfanger as president of the Robotics DACH, covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Yaskawa Europe, headquartered near Frankfurt, Germany, has been operating since 1979 and comprises two divisions: Drives Motion Controls, covering automation, drive and control technology, under the leadership of Bobbie Linkenbach; and Robotics, which includes Motoman industrial robots and systems. The subsidiary serves the markets of Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
