The European Commission has decided to make definitive the provisional duties on imports of adipic acid originating in China, imposed last November (read article).
The definitive anti-dumping duties range from 29.1% to 42.3%.
Adipic acid is mainly used to produce polyamide 66 and polyester-based polyols. European imports of this intermediate from non-EU countries are estimated at around €160 million, of which €130 million comes from China.
