Jean-Marc Galvez takes EuPC presidentEuPC’s General Assembly, representing the European federation of plastics converting companies, this morning elected Amcor’s Jean-Marc Galvez (pictured) as its new president for the 2026-2028 term. He succeeds Benoît Hennaut, who has led the association for the past four years.

Having lived and worked in seven countries, Galvez brings a global perspective and deep expertise in driving transformation processes towards sustainable and profitable growth. He is a strong advocate for a “diverse and circular” world, guided by the belief that “We can do well by doing good.”

“I am honored to serve as President of EuPC at such an important moment for our industry,” the newly elected president said during the Assembly. “Plastics converters play a critical role in advancing innovation, competitiveness and circularity globally and across Europe, and I look forward to working closely with our members and partners to help shape a more sustainable, competitive and resilient future for the plastics value chain.”

BIOGRAPHY. Jean-Marc Galvez has more than 35 years of experience in the plastics industry, with roles spanning general management, sales, operations and R&D across both private and public companies. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Amcor, with global responsibility for the company’s rigid packaging activities.
Before joining Amcor, he held senior executive roles at Berry Global, which became part of the Amcor Group in 2025, most recently as president of the Consumer Packaging International Division, a position he held for nearly six years. He previously served as president of Berry’s Consumer Packaging Division North America and president of HH&S EMEIA.
Earlier, he was president for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India at Avintiv, a Blackstone company, based in Barcelona. During his career, he also held management and commercial roles at Dow, Merquinsa, a Lubrizol company, Monsanto and Elf Atochem.
