Martin Hitchin (pictured left), CEO of Rehau UK, Ireland and Scandinavia, has been confirmed as president of the British Plastics Federation (BPF), the trade association representing the UK plastics industry. The BPF Council re-elected him for a second year in office, until May 2027.
At the same meeting, Philip Maddox (pictured right), Managing Director of Leafield Environmental, was appointed vice-president of the Federation for 2026-2027. According to the BPF, Maddox is expected to be nominated for president when Martin Hitchin steps down in May next year.
With an honours degree in chemistry and an MBA, Philip Maddox has led Leafield Environmental since 2011. The company specialises in rotational moulding. Maddox previously spent ten years at Zotefoams as Sales and Marketing Director, selling into both European and Asian markets.
