Alfagomma joins Danfoss

The acquisition will combine complementary manufacturing, distribution and application capabilities in mobile and industrial hydraulics.

July 14, 2026 11:54

alfagomma plantDanish group Danfoss has successfully concluded negotiations to acquire Italian company Alfagomma, a supplier of hoses and fittings for industrial and hydraulic fluid management.

The definitive agreement for the transfer of ownership was signed on July 9. The transaction remains subject to the necessary approvals and is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026. Alfagomma will then become part of the Fluid Conveyance division within the Danfoss Power Solutions segment, which manufactures hoses and fittings for vehicles, aircraft, marine applications, mining, food and beverage, and mobile and industrial equipment.

“Alfagomma is one of the most respected names in our industry,” commented Domenico Traverso, President of the Fluid Conveyance division at Danfoss Power Solutions. “By bringing together two businesses with complementary strengths, we are creating a leading global player in the hose and fittings industry with exceptional manufacturing, distribution, and strong application know-how.”

Founded in 1956, Alfagomma manufactures hoses and fittings sold under the Alfagomma, Dunlop Hiflex and Argus brands. Its products are used in mobile hydraulics and industrial applications, including mining, oil and gas, marine and shipbuilding. The company has an international presence, with 28 production and assembly sites, approximately 4,500 employees and revenue of around €600 million.

Following strategic differences over governance between brothers and equal shareholders Enrico and Guido Gennasio, the company entered voluntary liquidation proceedings in 2025, with the Milan Court appointing three receivers.

Headquartered in Denmark and family-owned, Danfoss manufactures advanced components and systems through its Danfoss Power Solutions, Danfoss Drives and Danfoss Climate Solutions segments. In 2025, the group generated revenue of €9.4 billion and employed approximately 39,000 people.
