CFO Gurit Viktor Bernhardt interim cEOJust over a year after taking office as CEO of Gurit, Tobias Lührig is leaving the Swiss manufacturer of composite materials and semi-finished products. The Board of Directors has appointed CFO Viktor Bernhardt (pictured) as interim CEO. He will retain his current responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer alongside his new role.

“The Board is confident that Viktor Bernhardt’s leadership, strategic perspective, and expertise will ensure continuity in the execution of Gurit’s strategic priorities. The Company’s operations, strategic direction, and financial guidance remain unchanged,” the company said in a statement.

Headquartered in Wattwil, Switzerland, Gurit develops and manufactures composite materials and tooling equipment for composite components, while also providing core kitting services.
In the 2025 financial year, the company reported net sales of CHF 319.6 million, down 22% at constant exchange rates and 26% in Swiss francs compared with the previous year. According to the company, the decline was largely attributable to its planned exit from unprofitable activities.
Transactions completed last year included the sale of its 50% stake in Italian company Xeltrusion, the divestment of the Carmignano di Brenta site in the province of Padua, and the closure of the Volpiano plant in the province of Turin, both in Italy.
