AOC, a leading manufacturer of resins for composite materials, has inaugurated a new pilot plant in Filago, northern Italy, to enhance the scalability and introduction of new products.
According to the company, this investment will reduce time to market for innovative products and provide AOC and its customers with additional opportunities to build a sustainable business in composite materials.

“This pilot plant is truly state of the art,” said Julia van Harten, Filago pilot plant manager. “We can produce many different product chemistries, and the advanced controls and versatile equipment allow us to operate under real-life production conditions."

On Feb. 6, 2025, the pilot plant was formally opened with a grand ceremony by Stefan Osterwind, managing director of AOC EMEA, and Paul Vercoulen, vice president of technology at AOC EMEA.

AOC specializes in composite resins, including unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, gelcoats, and pigments.
