JSP takes full control of Ghepi and HAPP

Foam specialist buys remaining stakes in both European injection-molding firms as part of its Vision 2027 growth plan.

July 7, 2025 14:10

ghepi plant in ItalyThree years after buying a minority stake in Italian injection-molder and mold maker Ghepi, Japanese foam specialist JSP has acquired the remaining 65 percent and now owns the company outright.

A similar deal has closed in Germany, where the group’s European arm, JSP International, has purchased the 30 percent of HAPP it did not already hold after entering the business with a 70 percent share in September 2023.

Both transactions, completed in early July, bring Ghepi and HAPP entirely under the JSP Group umbrella.

Based in Cavriago, Reggio Emilia, Ghepi designs plastic components, operates injection-molding lines and builds molds. Known for its metal-replacement expertise, the firm is expanding into markets where JSP is not yet present. HAPP, meanwhile, is recognized for highly automated production lines and in-house tools making.

“The JSP Group is widening its scope under the long-term Vision 2027 strategy, with targeted investments in injection molding,” the company said. “We are convinced that combining injection-molding technology with our foamed products will further strengthen the competitiveness of our portfolio. By fully integrating these two businesses, we aim to maximize their technological know-how and commercial networks, thereby enhancing the overall value of the group.”
