Mike Radossich to succeed Ilham Kadri as of Jan. 1, 2026, following a structured leadership handover already underway.

Mike Radossich SyensqoAt the beginning of next year, Ilham Kadri will hand over the leadership of Belgian chemical group Syensqo to Mike Radossich, currently head of the Performance & Care and Other Solutions segments.

Kadri, who has led Syensqo since its creation two years ago following the Solvay spin-off, will remain CEO until Dec. 31 and then continue as special advisor to ensure a smooth transition.

Radossich brings more than 30 years of experience at Syensqo and Solvay, with a proven track record in transforming complex businesses and relaunching the Novecare unit.

“Mike combines extensive chemical industry experience with a deep knowledge of our business. His appointment is the result of a rigorous selection process within a carefully designed succession plan, and the board is confident that Mike is the right leader to guide our next phase of growth and deliver sustainable value for all Syensqo stakeholders,” said Rosemary Thorne, chair of the board of directors.

“I’m deeply happy that Mike will lead the next chapter of Syensqo,” added Ilham Kadri, outgoing CEO. “Having worked closely with him over the last six years, giving him increasingly more responsibilities, I know he is an exceptional leader with the energy and results-oriented approach needed to advance Syensqo’s goals through the next chapter of our journey.”

Based in Brussels, Syensqo was spun off from Solvay in December 2023. The company operates 62 industrial plants and 12 R&D centers worldwide (including a major site in Bollate, Italy), employs around 13,000 people in 30 countries, and reported €6.84 billion in sales in 2024.
