On September 23, 2025, Lanxess announced that it will exercise its contractual right to offer to sell its entire 40.94% stake in Envalior to its joint venture partner, an investment company of Advent International, at a base purchase price of approximately €1.2 billion.
This amount reflects the residual valuation of Lanxess’ High Performance Materials division, contributed two years ago to establish the joint venture in high-performance polymers.
Potential adjustments to the purchase price will depend on the development of Envalior’s EBITDA in the twelve months preceding completion of the sale.
