John G. Erkert (pictured) has been appointed president of Conair, the U.S.-based company of Italy’s Piovan Group, which specializes in the production of auxiliary equipment for plastics processing.

Erkert has been serving as regional chief executive officer for North America since 2024, a role in which he has overseen Piovan Group’s operations and commercial strategy across the region.
He previously held the positions of chief operating officer and chief financial officer and has been part of the group since 1995.

The key members of the Conair management team remain in place: Nicholas Paradiso, vice president of sales; Jared Helfrich, vice president of aftersales, Robert Puleo, vice president of operations; and Matt Shope, vice president of engineering

Conair became part of the Piovan Group in 2022 following the acquisition of the IPEG group, which also included the Thermal Care and Pelletron brands.
