Established within EuCIA earlier this year, the European Circular Composites Alliance (ECCA) will present its five working groups and their respective action plans on Dec. 4 in Brussels during its first General Assembly.
Meanwhile, more than 170 organizations have joined the initiative.
ECCA’s mission is to promote the circular economy in the composites sector and to act as a point of reference in this field for the European Commission.
During the assembly, the five working groups of the alliance, active since last August, will present their objectives and roadmaps toward circularity.
Four of the five groups focus on key markets for composite materials: Aerospace & Defense, chaired by David Tilbrook; Road Vehicles & Public Transportation (Charles Göbbels); Industrial & Recreational (Julia Minici); and Construction (Julia Minici).
The fifth group, Cross-over — chaired by Philip Easthill — is tasked with developing cross-sector synergies and addressing regulatory, financial and standardization barriers at European and national level.
