The Manucor BOPP film plant in Sessa Aurunca, Campania (Italy), which became part of Bulgarian group Plastchim-T in 2024, is set to receive investments of up to €100 million over the next ten years.

The industrial plan, presented to trade unions in recent days, will focus primarily on expanding production capacity through the installation of a new state-of-the-art production line and the commissioning of a new film metallisation unit, as well as the construction of photovoltaic systems.

The project has been deemed eligible by Invitalia, Italy’s development agency, for non-repayable grants of up to €23.435 million.

At its Sessa Aurunca plant in the province of Caserta, Manucor produces BOPP films for flexible food packaging, adhesive tapes, self-adhesive labels and wrap-around labels. The facility has an annual production capacity of 80,000 tonnes and employs about 220 people.
