Leadership change at Greiner Bio-One

Sebastian Heiner takes over from Ilke Panzer to guide the company’s next growth phase in medical and life science technologies.

Sebastian Heiner CEO Greiner Bio-OneSebastian Heiner (pictured) has been appointed the new CEO of Greiner Bio-One, the medical technology division of the Austrian Greiner Group. He succeeds Ilke Panzer, who had held the position since December 2023.

Heiner, 47, joins from lubricant specialist Fuchs, where he served as chief technology officer and executive board member, with responsibilities spanning operations, procurement, product management, R&D, and sustainability.

“Sebastian Heiner stands for a consistent combination of strategic foresight, team-centric leadership quality and operational implementation power, coupled with a clear claim to innovation and a high level of process quality,” said Saori Dubourg, CEO of Greiner AG. “With his expertise in global business development and the ability to implement strategies and processes, he is the ideal person for the future growth phase of Greiner Bio-One.”

Greiner Bio-One develops, manufactures and distributes high-quality plastic products for laboratory use, operating across three divisions: Preanalytics, BioScience and Sterilization. In 2024, it generated revenues of €666 million and employed 2,624 people.
The broader Greiner Group operates through three divisions: Greiner Packaging, Neveon and Greiner Bio-One, employing 11,600 people across 30 countries.
